It's been awhile since posting, and we're thankful to be back :) We are all such unique individuals, and musical tastes vary, but we'd like to again share another love song with you this Valentine’s month, this time two songs, Megan Woods', The Truth, and Sarah Kroger's, Belovedness. Both songs are about our relentless Father God who loves us unconditionally, helping us discover, or re-discover, the truth that He calls us His beloved child, our very deepest and core identity. One of the artists' shares: "I wrote this song out of my deepest struggles. I believe we all go through times where we feel unworthy or unaccepted or unloved. This song is about the truth of what God says about us and how God views us. Once we know that truth, it allows us to walk in freedom,” Woods asserts. “My heartfelt prayer is that this song would drown out the lies of the enemy and that it would serve as a daily reminder of God’s truth. I hope it brings you comfort, strength and the assurance that you are so deeply loved and cherished by God.” - Megan Woods Sarah Kroger, singer and songwriter of Belovedness shares, "The definition of beloved is, 'to be dearly loved' or 'pleased with.' ... each of us were marked “beloved” as the very core of our identity. It’s not simply something about us, it’s our identity. There’s nothing we’ve done to earn it. There’s nothing we’ve done or that’s been done to us that can take it away. Beloved is who we are. And yet, how many of us live our lives out of that truth? ... I wrote the song Belovedness first and foremost because I needed to sing it. I needed to remind myself of these truths. When you sing truth over yourself, it releases something internally. My prayer for you is that when you listen to it, and what I hope you’ll pray for me, is that we see ourselves and others the way the Lord sees us. Relatable? May these songs be a lullabye over your heart, dear one. We're praying for you: Father God, reveal Yourself to us, reveal Your love to us and the Truth about Who you are as the Most High and what you think about us. Help each reading encounter You, Jesus, and Your overwhelming love and security, comfort, and assurance! We're sorry for all the false identities we put on, try to fit into, or live up to. Forgive us, Lord. You say in Your Word that you do not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. May your perfect love drive out fear. Bind up any lying spirits in the Name of Jesus, and loose and anoint over us Your Truth, Father God, Jesus, the Word Made Flesh, and Holy Spirit. We need you to fight for us. Help us see ourselves as you see us, help us live out of YOUR truth, our belovedness, and set us free! Transform us, Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen! If you have questions about God's love or would like prayer, please reach out. Happy Valentine's Day!
