"And if Christ has not risen, then our preaching is in vain [it amounts to nothing] and your faith is devoid of truth and is fruitless (without effect, empty, imaginary, and unfounded)." - 1 Corinthians 15:14 (AMP) - For Christians, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is absolutely paramount and central to our faith, but is there really proof of the resurrection of Jesus? Is the whole story made up? Lisa Fields with the wonderful Jude 3 Project provides some insight and answers in a short, less than ten minute video: It's okay to ask God questions. We encourage you to ask Him in doubt, in skepticism, or in curiosity. Seek Him earnestly, honestly, with an open and humble heart. Consider asking Him, directly, to reveal Himself. Maybe that sounds like a simple prayer, "Jesus (in Hebrew: Yeshua), if you’re real, please reveal Yourself to me, and who I am to You." “The God who made the world and everything in it, this Master of sky and land, doesn’t live in custom-made shrines or need the human race to run errands for him, as if he couldn’t take care of himself. He makes the creatures; the creatures don’t make him. Starting from scratch, he made the entire human race and made the earth hospitable, with plenty of time and space for living so we could seek after God, and not just grope around in the dark but actually find him. He doesn’t play hide-and-seek with us. He’s not remote; he’s near." - Acts 17:24-27 (MSG) - You are loved, valued, and purposed, friend, and this Easter season, we are praying for exploration and consideration. Please reach out anytime for prayer, if you have any questions, or just need a listening ear.
